If you are looking to be part of something profound and build something special, BetterCloud is for you. We're looking for a Business Development Representative to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for an individual who will be supporting an Account Executive through hunting new business within a specific territory. Â
Our Business Development team serves as the front-line in our customer engagement efforts, contacting IT professionals with the goal of generating qualified opportunities for our sales team. This role reports into our Manager of Sales Development, which helps to streamline our marketing automation efforts and ensure that our Business Development Representatives are contacting the right people, at the right time, with the right message - ultimately giving our sales team more qualified opportunities to win business.
About You

- Quantitative track record of exceptional performance and a strong professional trajectory
- Passionate about a career in SaaS sales
- Effective communication skills with ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional environment
- Can conduct high level conversations with senior executives
- History of learning new tools and have the ability to pick up new things quickly
- Strong prospecting skills and ability to develop business in new and existing accounts is a plus
- Experience in SFDC and SalesLoft or Outreach is a plus
What You’ll DoÂ
- Outbound communication to prospects who have expressed interest in learning more about BetterCloud (ie cold calling, LinkedIn messaging, E-mails)Â
- With your assigned Account Executive you will collaborate to drive pipeline growth within the target vertical Qualifications.
- Within prospect accounts, you will be trained to find decision-makers and influencers, identify a need, and establish the basis for a sales engagement. Using tools such as LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo and Lusha.
- Sharing information about BetterCloud and asking questions about the prospect's business objectives
- Consistently achieve and exceed given monthly quota and be well compensated for doing so
- Managing prospecting status, data integrity, and forecasting in Salesforce.com
Goals
By the end of week 1, you will ….
- Successfully engage and complete our New Agent Success Academy.
- Learn the evolution and history of IT and understand how it applies to your role.
- Understand how our product works, who it benefits, and the value it brings to our personas.
- Demonstrate hands-on application of our BetterCloud platform.
By the end of 30 days, you will….
- Become confident with our process and navigating our tools (cold calling, Gong, emailing, Outreach, LinkedIn, Seismic, prospecting, Vidyard, etc.)
- Conduct initial account outreach - qualifying at least one call for discovery calls with Account Executives
- Complete BDR Shuttle Launch & BDR Certifications
- Demonstrate growth from the coaching and feedback you have received.
- Have a strong sense of your role, responsibilities, and expectations in the seat
By the end of 60 days, you will…
- Qualify 6 meetings and help open 4 opportunities
- Fully prospect into your book of business
- Conduct multi-faceted sales outreach to our ideal customer profile (ICP)
- Strategize with your Account Executives on a game plan to book meetings and create qualified opportunities
- Achieve your BetterCloud Administrator Certification!

Salary:
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000 OTE
This salary range represents BetterCloud’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and BetterCloud may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in BetterCloud’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of BetterCloud’s business and other operational considerations.
