Business Development Representative
Human Element is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to reach prospective clients. The BDR will report to the Director of Sales and work closely with the sales and marketing teams. This role is integral to building the pipeline for new work, and will be responsible for developing a regular cadence of outreach to prospects and hitting sales activity targets on a weekly basis. This is a remote position. We are looking for someone to fill this brand new role that
- loves sales outreach and doing it as the majority of your job (and has done it for at least 2 years)
- has an interest in working in the eCommerce industry
- has worked in the software or web development industry
- wants to work with a cool team at an Adobe Commerce Silver Partner agency
- Daily outbound calls to potential clients to set qualified leads and appointments
- Introduce prospects to Human Element's products and services
- Identify the needs, challenges and interest of prospective clients in eCommerce platforms and services
- Schedule discovery meetings for sales representatives and prospects
- Follow-up with sales representatives on the status of all pending leads
- Achieve or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets
- Work with Director of Sales to develop outreach strategies
- Work with Sales Support Associate to define and maintain target lists and pipelines
- Develop a cadence of regular outreach including phone calls, voicemails, emails, and LinkedIn messaging
- Maintain and update CRM to track leads, appointments and all related activities
- Invite clients and prospects to sales and industry events
- Act as main point of contact for inbound calls to the organization and triaging calls/messaging
- Participate in weekly sales & marketing meetings to report on activities and progress

- At least 2 years of experience in telephone sales, telemarketing, or a related field
- At least one year of professional experience in a B2B sales support role
- Experience working in the software (or related) industry
- Experience working with key decision makers (C-level corporate managers).
- Good knowledge of sales, service, and administrative functions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially telephone skills
- Self-starter who has a desire to learn, grow, and excel in their role
- Great organizational skills
- Knowledge of business processes and organizational structures
- Interest in technology/eCommerce
- Familiarity with CRM tools (specifically Nutshell), LinkedIn Inmail, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom a plus
- Understanding of eCommerce platforms, specifically Adobe Commerce (Magento) a plus
