The Opportunity 

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be responsible for outbound sales prospecting, initiating the first outreach with potential customers. You will conduct cold calls, follow up via email using Sales Enablement technology and using social selling to help book meetings. BDR’s will also take the first high-level exploratory call with prospects and pass qualified opportunities to the Enterprise Sales team using BANT methodology. You will be responsible for expanding our customer base by using prospecting strategies and technology to identify new opportunities. Business Development Representative’s will work closely with Account Executives and enjoy working with cross functional teams, especially Marketing, Sales Operations and Product. You will report to the Business Development Manager. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Understanding our buyer personas and the needs/“pains” of our target market
  • Cold-calling and cold-emailing prospects across multiple departments
  • Generating and qualifying opportunities to handover to Sales Reps using BANT methodology 
  • Writing and adapting call and email scripts and outreach sequences
  • Using social selling techniques to attract and source leads
  • Updating and keeping detailed notes in our CRM
  • Brainstorming and executing new strategies to attract our target market
  • Working together with the team to establish and share prospecting techniques that work
  • Keeping up to date on trends and news from the industry, our competitors, and our target market
  • Trying out and using various prospecting tools and software
  • Networking, face-to-face meetings, and any other activities that help to generate and close leads
  • Other duties as assigned

 Candidate Expertise Required 

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in an outbound-focused Business Development Representative role, Sales Account Executive or a similar role
  • Strong experience and comfortable with cold-selling via email and telephone
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated success of reaching monthly and quarterly targets
  • Successful track record within a fast paced, engaging, technology environment, working flexibly across a range of responsibilities.
  • Third level qualification in a related discipline.
  • Strong work ethic and a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
  • A willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate
  • Can easily switch between thinking creatively and analytically.

Soft Skills/ Nice to Have 

  • Previous prospecting experience, supporting the growth of a B2B SaaS Organisation at an Enterprise level
  • Collaborative, good working relationships with other teams.
  • Ability to create an innovative, collaborative, and supportive culture.
  • Strong focus on talent development and career growth.

 Compensation  

Annual base salary gross: $45,000-50,000 plus variable. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Company's contemplated salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and geographic location. The salary is one component of Company's total compensation package for employees.
