About The Role:

As a Business Development Representative, you will be an integral part of the Go-To-Market strategy at Traceable and will play an essential role in helping us develop a world-class sales organization. As a key member of the Business Development team, you will be conducting in-depth research into organizations and key decision makers across North America and proactively engaging them in discussions on how Traceable’s API Security platform can help them overcome some of their biggest challenges.


Our ideal candidate is a hard-working, ambitious and resourceful individual who is willing to break through the noise and establish relationships with top prospects in the CyberSecurity space.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Learn and explain challenges that are solved with Traceable and gain knowledge of challenges in the API security space
  • Do cold outreach to new prospects using various methods, including cold calling, emailing, and social selling.
  • Experiment with different sales channels and leverage the most effective ones.
  • Work closely with Account Executives to refine call and messaging strategies.
  • Identify trends for strategies that drive successful pipeline generation and share them with your fellow BDRs.
  • Track all sales activity in Outreach.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly quotas for outbound meeting production.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years experience in business development in the cybersecurity space, with evidence of exceeding quota
  • Comfort working in fast-paced environments as well as working through unknowns that can often develop with a GTM Startup that iterates and adapts quickly
  • Self-starter with a track record of success in their professional or personal life.
  • Technical background or experience selling technical products and interacting with Cybersecurity and DevSecOps professionals.
  • Strategic thinker with a knack for understanding the prospect’s goals regarding cybersecurity
  • A relentless drive to meet and exceed goals and expectations
  • Exceptional and engaging communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Outstanding business acumen and organizational skills i.e. ‘Entrepreneurial’
