Business Development Representative Enablement Manager - Boston
Job Description
LaunchDarkly is looking for a BDR Enablement Manager to join the Business Development team. This position reports into the Global Director of Business Development.
The ideal BDR Enablement Manager role requires an individual with a passion for helping sales/business development reps be more effective and efficient in their interactions with prospective buyers. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative coach or high-performing sales rep experienced with designing and delivering highly effective programs that focus on improving sales effectiveness, sales productivity, training, and overall sales results. This person will support segment distinct communications, training, certifications, programs and coaching to the team directly, in partnership with Business Development leaders. This role will be critical in helping to ensure reps understand our product, personas and buying process, as well as identifying tailored opportunities for training and enablement based on specific needs of the team.
This role requires an individual with innate sales rigor, technical aptitude, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build an enablement/delivery function that will scale to accommodate the needs of LaunchDarkly as it grows.
This individual will be working with cross-functional teams, members of the Revenue Operations & Enablement team, as well as leaders within the Revenue organization.
Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day execution of sales/business development enablement programs, including programmatic design, content curation, delivery, and ongoing optimization
- Track key success metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to enablement efforts to show return on investment (ROI) and overall impactÂ
- Partner with sales/business development managers in identifying and prioritizing reps requests across learning, content and pipeline optimization
- Implement, maintain, and provide training on agreed upon core competencies (skills, tools, product, process, methodology)
- Proactively improve upon existing sales processes or tools in collaboration with other departments (marketing, revenue operations, etc.)
- Build strategic relationships with Business Development leaders and reps
- Participate in and support onboarding, including creating, updating, and facilitating new hire training as needed in partnership with Onboarding Program Manager, including conducting regular audit/assessment and determining how best to reduce time to valueÂ
- Support initiative-based learning (e.g., introductions of new products, messaging, techniques, playbooks) as a field enthusiast and subject matter specialist for BDRs
- Conduct needs analysis, advocate for sales needs to management, and promote key management or enablement initiatives to the team.
- Collaborate with front-line managers to jointly create development plans for assigned reps based on core competencies, conduct ongoing competency assessment and proactively design tailored programs to supportÂ
- Define KPI’s and measurements of success as it relates to sales performance for all training and coaching needs. Deliver formal readouts to leadership.
- Apply blended learning approaches and new technologies to help scale and engage training programs.
- Use and manage enablement tech stack (CMS, LMS, CRM, Call Recording, etc.)
- 5+ years working in a SaaS organization with experience managing training and enablement programs and/or experience in a sales/business development role
- Passionate about leading in-person and virtual training programs
- Experience with onboarding pre-sales and sales teams in the SaaS environment
- Previous experience with MEDDPICC and Force Management a plus
- Experience in curriculum development, training, and delivery
- Experience with marketing practices and product implementations
- Experience with enablement tools (CRM, CMS, LMS, Call Recording, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Pay:
Target pay range for a Level 2 in the Boston Area: $126,000 - $148,000
*Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.
