Job Summary:

We are seeking a resourceful Business Development Specialist to support our high growth plans through accelerating funnel velocity. We have an innovative, leading-edge product that is transforming urban commerce. We need someone to help us continue to expand our portfolio of customers through new customer prospecting and appointment setting.

This role involves cold calling campaigns to set meetings and team up with field sales reps to maximize sales velocity in territories. They will be responsible for driving a portion of the direct sales revenue through appointment setting and should be comfortable initiating and establishing new relations in various geographies. Being comfortable with daily cold calling, selling technology and having a strategic view of the evolving marketplace are paramount. This position reports to the Business Development Manager and can either be based out of Foster City, CA or Remote.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for market growth and optimizing marketing strategies.
  • Conduct research to identify potential fleet customers and build a database of leads.
  • Develop client relationships by researching and creating networking opportunities.
  • Analyze business processes and finances, implement business plans, and establish effective sales networks.
  • Qualify sales leads by identifying customer needs and interests and assessing their potential to become customers.
  • Prospect potential customers through email, phone, and social media channels.
  • Schedule appointments for our Sales team with qualified leads.
  • Partner with the Sales team to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified sales leads.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Management to align strategies aimed at increasing revenue.
  • Use CRM software to track lead activity and provide regular reports to management on lead generation and qualification progress.
  • Continuously improve our lead generation and qualification process by providing feedback and recommendations.
  • Making initial calls and A/B test call scripts with the Business Development Manager to set appointments for the Sales team.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development or inside sales preferred.
  • Knowledge of the electric vehicle industry and interest in sustainable transportation and zero emission technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (Hubspot) and sales and marketing tools.
  • Experience with outbound sales, cold calling, and email marketing.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay Range:

$30.00-33.00 (Pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and training.)
