Job Description
Summary:
The Business Diversification Program Manager is responsible for managing and delivering comprehensive business plans to support growth and innovation for the Lifetime Healthcare Companies (LTHC). This position is responsible for supporting the identification, definition, and execution of business opportunities that will stimulate out-year growth in alignment with the organization's business strategy. The incumbent will help manage the pursuit of opportunities that support growth such as partnerships, alliances, licensing agreements, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading cross functional teams in the assessment of potential initiatives that promote long-term growth and increase revenue. This position serves as an essential contact for Sales, Marketing, IT, Finance, the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), and Legal as we identify impacts to current business operations and solve for disruptions to bring growth opportunities to life and communicate recommendations back to senior leadership.
Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Level I:
• Supports business diversification strategy for LTHC to impact margin improvement and success of LTHC.
• Applies appropriate tools to accurately estimate and plan the work of teams or project groups within agreed processes and policies. Plans initiative schedules, deliverables, assignments, tasks, project meetings (scheduling and meeting notes), status reporting, communication, and action items, as required. Acts and serves as a lead for business diversification partners to track work, tasks, and project assignments to keep projects on-time and within scope and budget.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates a matrixed teams' activities to manage and implement interrelated projects from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage. Sets and facilitates core team meetings and other relevant project meetings including managing project agendas and meeting minutes.
• Produces work plans according to required standards. Monitors and reports on the progress and resolution of high impact problems according to established standards.
• Escalates issues which project team is unable to resolve through appropriate channels relating to schedules, resources, staff matters, or technical difficulties. Passes recommendations upward, including proposed solutions whenever appropriate.
• Prioritizes and tracks investments across new product development initiatives. May be responsible for project managing/integrating.
• Accountable to help identify potential disruptions in implementing a growth initiative and managing a plan to solve for disruptions across the enterprise.
• Responsible for building components of a business case to support project execution and a smooth project transition to EPMO and/or other assigned business owners throughout initiative execution.
• Acts independently to gather, interpret, and report on competitive intelligence, market insights and sales projections to support recommendations and decision making for business opportunities.
• Engages with senior leadership and peers to support decision making and provide guidance when appropriate. Collaborates with multiple teams and organizations, both internally and externally.
• Fosters an environment of continuous improvement and encourages innovative thinking.

Level II (in addition to Level I essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
• Responsible for identifying, defining, and developing business opportunities that will stimulate out-year growth in alignment with the organization's business strategy. Examines trends and creates a vision and strategies to position the organization in the future. Prepares quantitative and qualitative research and analysis. Composes alternative scenarios. Develops and analyzes business strategy and critical issues. Ensures business development plans are positioned and communicated appropriately.
• Sees Growth Initiatives through to completion.
• Provides status updates for ongoing diversification efforts in cross-functional meetings across the enterprise.
Level III (in addition to Level II essential responsibilities/accountabilities):
• Manages large scale, highly visible, strategic enterprise projects that may transition to ongoing responsibility as 'owner' for end-to-end program management or in collaboration with the Enterprise Project Management Team
• Manages and leads new business ideas, partnerships and/or mergers/acquisitions that may be brought forth from key business leaders throughout the organization to support. This work would include creating a team to manage all applicable due diligence items.
• May represent Managers and Directors of supported areas in meetings pertaining to related projects, including decision-making responsibilities, attendance at Corporate and regional committees, and other meetings and workgroups.
• Coaches and counsels' members of cross-functional teams to accomplish projects, meet established schedules, or resolve technical/operational issues.
• Serves as a Change Leader, developing and implementing strategies that will benefit the Margin Diversification Strategy.
Minimum Qualifications:
NOTE:

All Levels:
• Five or more years of progressive experience in business strategy/planning or planning in the healthcare industry. Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, business strategy or related preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Good analytical and business process development skills.
• Ability to see the big picture and understand the individual pieces.
• Ability to operate independently to navigate organizational complexities and to obtain resources needed to move initiatives forward.
• Ability to work within and lead cross-functional teams.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with executive management and key leaders throughout the organization. Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated business problem solving skills.
Level II (in addition to Level I minimum qualifications):
• Seven or more years of progressive experience in business strategy/planning in the healthcare industry.
• Pharmacy related experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance and third-party administrator (TPA) operations.
• Ability to write and speak fluently on all aspects of work and communicate effectively with users/customers and colleagues 2-3 levels up/down and across a range of disciplines, and all levels of management.
Level III (in addition to Level II minimum qualifications):
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in business strategy/planning in the healthcare industry.
• Healthcare industry experience required including knowledge of all lines of business offered with the Enterprise.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred; in lieu of certification, 5 years of Project Management experience may be considered.
• Experience with Quality principles and tools. Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams executing under multi-phased and multi-deployment project schedules.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.
• Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a workstation and working on a computer.
Salary Range:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position. Actual salary will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to, budget available, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's minimum qualifications, in additional to internal equity. The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components of the total rewards package may include participation in group health and/or dental insurance, retirement plan, wellness program, paid time away from work, and paid holidays.
Min: $70,200.00 - Max: 30,300.00
