Business Finance Manager

Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri 7-4, 8-5 or 9-6 (Remote position but requires in-office training 2-4 weeks)

The Business Finance Manager will provide all communication necessary to inform Cook Children's Medical Center (CCMC) Directors on key metrics for financial data, financial analysis, volume data, productivity, and trend analyses. This position serves as the departments primary finance contact for budget preparation, strategic planning, charge master, productivity, and operational efficiencies that will sustain an environment of safe patient care as well as maximizing the value of hospital resources. Working in collaboration with the department, the Business Finance Manager will maintain contact with departmental leadership and operations staff to achieve ongoing familiarity with the department operations and provide feedback to assist business related decision-making.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Statistics, or similar field. (Master's Degree in related field preferred)
• Minimum of five years experience in Financial Analysis or Healthcare.
• Experience in Healthcare Finance is preferred.
• Extensive analytical skills required to evaluate and interpret market, financial, clinical, and other supportive data in order to make sound and objective recommendations for strategic options.
• Ability to formulate, write and present effective business plans, situation analysis documents, and feasibility studies.
• Self-directed individual with the ability to multitask to complete projects by deadlines.
