Business Growth Associate

Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Business Growth Associate who will provide support to a wide variety of proposal and business development activities across the company. The Business Growth Associate will report to the Director of Growth and work closely with the Dark Wolf Growth Team and Practice Area Leads. The position supports our headquarters in Herndon, VA, but the successful candidate may support remotely with flexible hours following Eastern Standard Time. The candidate will:

• Assist in authoring technical, compliant, compelling, and competitive proposals and responses to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information and Sources Sought notes.
• Participates in strategy and early capture sessions to define and refine strengths, value propositions, win themes, and discriminators. The candidate will have a strong focus on details to ensure compliance.
• Develop schedules, create templates and compliance matrices, conduct kick-off meetings, facilitate color team reviews, format documents, and perform final document production tasks.
• Maintain and continuously update the document library of business development materials.
• Work in the company’s pipeline management tool to include learning the tool’s features and benefits, performing data entry, ensuring data integrity, and providing data analysis and reporting.
• Assist with the identification of and monitoring the Growth Team resources, including subscription services, websites, and other means, to identify opportunities in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist Growth Team Capture Managers in performing competitor and customer behavior analyses and developing capture strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree. 
• Strong writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite.
• Minimum of 2 years of proposal development experience for Federal Government opportunities
• Ability to ideate through and solve ambiguous situations and problems.
• Positive and proactive attitude, problem solving, and initiative.
• Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with all levels of employees.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, when necessary.
• US Citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher.

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of the Federal Government’s contracting processes; understanding of the Federal Government’s buying process/acquisition lifecycle.
• Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Shipley proposal process.
• Experience in and/or understanding of technical concepts in the areas of cybersecurity, software development, data science, and systems engineering.
