** Please note this is a hybrid role based out of our office in downtown Minneapolis, MN**
The Business HR Leader is a key member of the HR & Business Unit Leadership teams, providing leadership and strategic direction for global businesses within the organization. This role is critical to driving HR approaches within the businesses in support of the operating plans and strategic direction of the organization, including areas such as succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, employee relations, learning, and compensation. This role will ensure people solutions are aligned with business needs and are in compliance with country, US federal, state, and local regulations.

- You have experience in engaging directly with Senior Leaders (C-level & VPs) on complex issues and serving in an advisory role to drive resolution and advancing the business objectives. At the same time, you can flex and work with less seasoned leaders and are comfortable stepping into a coaching role.
- You are comfortable working in an environment with shifting priorities and have a demonstrated ability to adjust to demands in a rapid, but seamless, manner. You are well versed in successful change management tactics, and you are comfortable guiding teams of people through large changes.

- You are adept at navigating between strategic work and rolling up your sleeves and digging into the details of projects and work deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
- Key business leader on business unit leadership team(s) driving HR solutions that will enable the strategies and operating plans of the businesses supported.
- Leads global HR Generalists, in collaboration with COE's, to deliver HR solutions aligned with business operating plans and strategic direction including delivery of talent & learning strategies, organization design & development needs, change management, recruitment, etc.
- Collaborates on the creation of the enterprise HR Strategy, Talent Strategy and operating plan based on business insights and business unit strategies, ensuring alignment between business unit needs and overarching SPS HR Strategy.
- Collaborates with senior leadership and recruiting team to identify and implement recruiting and workforce growth strategies, that align with the business unit's & enterprise goals and objectives.
- Partners on the administration and delivery of various HR programs delivered to the business unit including compensation and benefits, talent management, employee experience, and other related areas.
- Uses data to consult with business leaders and support data driven decisions focusing on HR impact and progress against HR goals for the business such as; growth objectives, employee experience, DEI, recruiting approaches, global location strategies, ROI of HR programs within the business and M&A effectiveness etc.
- Ensures organizational compliance with country, federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements through partnerships with Total Rewards, legal and Compliance teams.
- Leads M&A work as the business HR leader on due diligence work and HR components of M&A integrations as needed to deliver growth strategy.
- Works on key enterprise wide strategic projects as well as leads key HR strategic priorities as part of the extended HR Leadership Team.
- Builds capabilities of HR Business Partners in support of their career growth and the HR capability needs to support a high growth global organization.
- Consults with business leaders and conducts investigations, leading the resolution of complex employee relations issues. Builds ER capabilities and leads HRBP team through conducting thorough and objective investigations withing the business segments they support.
What experience and skills do you need?
- Minimum of 10-15 years of HR experience with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Strong collaboration and project management capabilities across business functions and HR specialty areas in support of the business needs
- Building high-performing teams through capability building, coaching, team effectiveness work and a values based mindset
- Demonstrated strategic thinking & a growth mindset.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data driven decision making:
What experience is preferred?
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience as a strategic HR Leader, with a track record of developing and implementing innovative HR solutions aligned with the business strategies.
- M&A experiences in due diligence and/or integrations and divestitures.
- Cross HR experience in specialty areas as well as business HR roles.
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting technology businesses.
