You will:

• Use SQL and other data tools  to create, maintain, and manipulate databases to track business performance.
• Develop and analyze business performance reports (eg. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provide notations of performance deviations and anomalies
• Create and publish periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports and assist in identifying potential areas for medical cost improvement and alternative healthcare cost containment and population health strategies
• Be responsible for creating reports and analyzing and developing recommendations on data and systems related to value-based payment model performance
• Work directly with the CFO to identify solution to optimize value based care performance
• Collaborate with functional partners to analyze and optimize initiatives designed to improve medical cost performance delivering actionable data and insights to internal and external partners

You’d be a good fit if:

• You have 3-5 years of experience with healthcare data analysis or related experience
• Strong written and oral presentation skills and interpersonal skills
• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools (SQL) required and statistical software (SAS, R, Python, etc.) is preferred
• Ability to manipulate large sets of data linking them from different sources
• Strong analytical, organization, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• You have knowledge of billing systems and healthcare coding and experience working with healthcare claim data

It’d be nice if:

• You have experience working in a health plan finance, actuarial  or medical economics functional area
• You have experience working in a healthcare provider administering services in a Value Based arrangement or other full risk construct
  

Our office is located in Watertown, Massachusetts but we’ve developed a robust remote working structure to give us more flexibility geographically while hiring for many positions. 

This role can be done largely remotely, there are several times a year when staff come together onsite for planning and team building.
