Business Insight Analyst

We are looking for a Business Insights Analyst for the IT Core Infrastructure Project Management Office. The Business Insights Analyst will work with coordinate IT cross functional teams, agencies, & Vendors to provide business and data analysis. The business and data analysis components include processes such as On-boarding / Off-boarding, Desktop Deployment strategy, Microsoft Modern Workplace activities, Data migrations and infrastructure upgrades. The ideal candidate is proficient in different analysis methods and reporting platforms, along with Project Management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile and Scrum. Experience with Theory of Constraints a plus.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working with Project Management Office & Business Owners to clearly define the analysis scope, objectives, deliverables, success criteria and strategic alignment
• Handle, respond, and process business and data analysis requests and queries in relation to the project scope
• Create and maintain relevant project documentation such as data dictionary, project requirements documents, status reports, and operational checklists
• Diagnose and identify nature and criticality of requests, and apply strategic, operational, and project guidelines as applicable
• Load and track project work plans & schedules in PMO's enterprise reporting tool (MS Project Online)
• Creation and execution of Transition Plans to ensure smooth transfer of responsibilities from project to ongoing operations
• Interface with technical teams, agency executives and vendors
• In coordination with the Project Management Office, provide presentations to the Information Technology customers, agency staff and management including use of reporting tools to maintain current information
• Ensure deployed solutions are compliant with Enterprise Technology and Security Standards
• Design, develop, and implement advanced visualizations, interactive dashboards, self-service visualization tools, and infographics to communicate key insights
• Ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables through proper data use and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Outstanding grasp of information technology concepts and processes.
• Strong issue & problem management skills, including root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft's entire cloud suite including Office 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive, Project Online. Power BI a plus
• Demonstrates experience in business intelligence and data visualization tools/platforms
• Demonstrates a high degree of customer service and team work Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and ITIL concepts, Theory of Constraints a Plus
• Capable of working independently or as part of a large team
• Excellent communication skills; detailed, concise and respectful in written, and verbal communications
• Demonstrated leadership with strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and release management methodologies

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

• 3-5 years in information technology with at least five years in a project management role
• Experience in presenting information in a visual manner to stakeholders
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
• Experience working in a Project Portfolio Management environment
