Overview:

Support the Customer Insights efforts by providing retailer, consumer purchasing, product sales analysis and reports that are used to support the objectives of both Boar's Head and our retail partners. This support will include, but not be limited to, category/business review development, sales tracking, assortment analysis, distribution reviews and promotional performance.

Job Description:

Essential Functions

• Synthesize/analyze syndicated, internal and retailer data to support the business needs of Boar's Head and the assigned retailer sales teams
• Understand business need/request and create relevant deliverables
• Capable of building a narrative around a set of data and its accompanying visualizations to help convey the meaning of that data in a powerful and compelling fashion
• Ability to effectively leverage an analytical approach to work more efficiently
• Prepare key opportunities, scorecards, category reviews and promotional effectiveness analysis to both Boar's Head and appropriate retailer sales teams
• Possess necessary aptitude to become a domain expert on one or more of Boar's Head tools
• Perform all and any other tasks assigned by Boar's Head management personnel

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (in Business Administration, Marketing or a closely related field) preferred
• No prior experience required, but 3+ years' experience in the Consumer Products Goods industry in an analytical/category management role preferred
• Working knowledge of grocery retail DSD operations preferred
• Experience with syndicated data (IRI and/or Nielsen) software and analysis background preferred
• Advanced and proven data analysis and reasoning skills
• Technical understanding and experience of query tools/reporting databases
• PC Keyboard, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Business Objects, Business Intelligence
• Excellent/proven analytical and reasoning skills

Language Skills

Ability to speak, read, and write using the English language.

Reasoning Ability

This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and be proactive. The candidate must also maintain confidentiality to ensure that the integrity of the Boar's Head Brand is not jeopardized.
