Job Summary

The Business Intelligence Analyst is involved in the development life cycle from gathering requirements to developing quality interactive data visualizations while creating and maintaining solutions using industry leading analytics tools. You will use a broad range of skills to identify relevant data and metrics to analyze, write and run queries, support self-service BI users, and build analytical data models and reporting capabilities that enable our business partners to make better data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate is an analyst who is passionate about connecting technology to business problems while engaging others with authenticity and integrity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gains insight into business strategy and priorities by building strong relationships with business partners to anticipate end user needs and strive to exceed customer expectations.
• Understands complex business requirements and creates solutions that are technically sustainable while satisfying business requirements.
• Weighs ambiguity and risk to effectively estimate work effort for both technical and non-technical tasks.
• Communicates effectively and intentionally through active listening and thoughtful questioning.
• Shares knowledge and complex topics clearly and concisely in a way that demonstrates patience, collaboration and inclusiveness.
• Solves problems, influences others, and demonstrates craftsmanship in their work.
• Actively learns while tackling new challenges; pursues new and better ways for ECMC Group to be successful.
• Assembles, analyzes and presents data for business reports or ETL solutions, ensuring data and calculations are accurate
• Aids in planning, design, development, release and monitoring of Data Warehouse solutions
• Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of key factors
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2+ years Data warehousing or Business intelligence experience
• Hands-on Experience with Queries, Data relationships and basic programming
• Experience using Business Intelligence and Analytics tools in prior projects
• Exposure to Cloud technologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional technical or training certifications
• Experience using ETL tools like Informatica
• Experience using Reporting Tools like Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, QuickSight
• Experience working with RDBMS like Oracle and/or SQL Server, and with semi-structured data
• Experience with programming languages like Python
• Exposure to AWS Analytics Services like Glue, Cloud Formation, EMR, RedShift, QuickSight
