About The Role:
We are seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about driving business success through data and increasing access to mental health. In this role, you will work closely with the department leaders to understand each team's reporting needs and develop a plan to empower stakeholders with the metrics and insights that they need. You will be responsible for implementing and teaching stakeholders how to utilize their dashboards.
Octave is a full-stack behavioral health services company: we employ therapists, contract with insurance providers for reimbursing care, and run our own tech stack to support across the business. We are a technology-enabled service provider working to increase access to mental health care for insured people in the US. Automation and strong systems are the lynchpin for enabling scale and driving access for more people to get care.Â
You would be the dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst for our Product team joining a small, growing (and well-funded!) team. The team is distributed across the US and has varied backgrounds, from education to fitness, advertising, travel, and healthcare. This role reports to the Business Intelligence Manager.
- Owns product-led client experience insights:
- Builds, analyzes and provides recommendations from product-focused experiments such as, onboarding, scheduling, etc.
- Investigates underlying drivers that affect ongoing trends and metrics for the client experience team
- Creates interactive, uniform dashboards that serve product leaders across the organization
- Leads and prioritizes multiple projects simultaneously
- Be a thought partner to our product & engineering leaders:
- Partner cross-functionally to understand the client experience team’s priorities, drive data-driven insights and propose appropriate recommendations
- Actively communicates with stakeholders to tell data-driven stories
- Collaborate with the product, engineering and product operations teams to understand Octave's business and define the right KPIs for the client experience team
- Partners with internal data team:
- Collaborates with data team members to contribute to evolving data-warehouse requirements
About You
- Minimum 4 years experience in business intelligence or analytics (or related role)
- Minimum 4 years developing reports and dashboards for different audiences
- Minimum 4 years of SQL fluency
- Minimum 2 year creating and analyzing the results of A/B experiments
- Minimum 2 year experience using a programming language (python, R, etc)
- Knowledgeable about different aspects of healthcare
- A strong statistical foundationÂ
- Strong communication skills. Ability to tell story with data and explain the nuance to stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically (interfacing with senior leaders), while also enjoying being hands-on with the data
- A knack for asking the right questions, then answering them with sound data and analysis
- A scrappy mindset – ability to deliver value and drive results quickly
- Ability to dive deep into the data weeds, and then synthesize data into strategic business insights
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Compensation
Octave is committed to pay equity. Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.Â
ÂThe salary range for this role is $131,000-$171,000
ÂAdditionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans. Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available. Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.Â
