The Ascend Learning Healthcare Segment leads the way in innovation and solution creation to improve outcomes and deliver results for students, educators, and healthcare workers in the ever-changing field of healthcare. We offer advanced resources that drive nursing success, empower front-line certified allied health workers, help physicians pass boards and stay current, and provide education management tools for medical education programs.

The Business Intelligence Analyst role assists organizational decision making by providing and explaining data in an easily consumable format and translates internal and external customers' business requirements into technical requirements and meaningful solutions. This position will work from our Leawood, KS office, and remote candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide data in an easily consumable format to all levels of the organization to assist in decisions that drive revenue and foster data exploration.
• Work with internal and external customers to understand business requirements and translate those business requirements into technical requirements for quick, actionable insights.
• Communicate with customers, both internal and external, in a professional and timely manner.
• Help business users understand and make conclusions from data for decision making purposes.
• Research issues/anomalies with data, systems, and processes.

Education and Experience

• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Experience researching, analyzing and leveraging data from internal and external resources.
• 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or business intelligence position.

Skills and Abilities

• Experience with industry-leading software solutions and concepts (GP, CRM, APIs, ETL, Datamarts, Windows Server, Microsoft Office)
• Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, SSRS, Power BI.
• Experience with presenting data in charts, graphs, tables and creating dashboards.
• Excellent analytic skills, business acumen, oral and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on independence, quality, accuracy, and aesthetics.
