Allegro MicroSystems is looking for a data-savvy, business-oriented individual to fill a new Business Intelligence Analyst position that will focus on Product Development and Strategic Marketing. This is a unique new role that has been established within our Business Intelligence team that will partner directly with our Product organization to expand access to data and insights. This is a great opportunity for an individual with a strong strategic mindset and interest in creating and advocating for reporting/dashboards to empower data-driven decisions. In this role, you will find yourself at the intersection of business, analytics, IT, and engineering, while solving interesting problems and creating value.

Essential Functions

• Partner with business units and engineering/program management teams to assess and report on portfolio performance and engineering development efficiency.

• Document existing metrics and drive consistent usage of measures and terminology.

• Work with market intelligence data to create integrated data solutions and assess our market position while identifying opportunities.

• Offer a data-minded perspective when assessing existing metrics and proposing/implementing new measures.

• Work closely with business users in cross-functional departments including sales, finance, operations, etc. to understand requirements and data for desired analysis and report functionality. Translate these requirements as needed and work with IT to solve back-end challenges and create sustainable solutions.

• Assist with business modeling to reflect various scenarios and simulate potential outcomes.

• Willingness and interest in supporting ad hoc requests utilizing exploratory data analysis while always staying focused on data quality/integrity.

Qualifications

• BS in Business, Marketing, Economics, Mathematics, or Analytical field of study.

• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.

• 1-3 years experience with interest in data extraction, transformation, visualization, and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep, PowerBI, R, etc.).

• Strong business acumen is essential. Solid understanding of data structures and preparation techniques is preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Desire to improve processes and not accept the status quo.
