What you're applying for
We're looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who lives and breathes data to join our Data & Intelligence team in NYC.
Data is at the core of everything that Lemonade does, and the Business Intelligence team acts as the guardians of its integrity, and how it can be best used to make decisions throughout the business. In addition to maintaining our BI tool, Looker, we partner with various groups at Lemonade to enable accurate, insightful, and actionable analytics. This includes developing KPIs, building dashboards to democratize data, and digging deep into the data to uncover trends and insights that drive big impact.
We are looking for someone who is motivated both by accuracy and business impact, who wants to bring their combination of data skills and business understanding to add value at a socially conscious, growing insurance company.
In this role you'll

• Deliver Data Excellence: Ensure a seamless data experience for core teams across the company. Accuracy and integrity of our data is key as we grow rapidly
• Direct Cross-organizational Collaboration: Be the bridge between technical and non-technical teams across our company, and work with departments across Lemonade's multiple products to drive success in data projects
• Democratize Data: Support goal-setting across Lemonade. You'll create elegant reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs to ensure teams are making intelligent and informed decisions
• Drive Impact via Insights: As a resident expert of all things data at Lemonade, you'll deliver business insights and trends that lead directly to operational and product improvements

What you'll need

• 2-4 years of Business Intelligence or Analytics experience
• Proven SQL mastery (R and Python are plus)
• Experience working with different databases and building out data infrastructure and reporting using a BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or similar
• Start-up experience and database knowledge (Snowflake a plus)
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, Economics, or similar
• Willingness to work with individuals in different time zones and cultures
