Cat Digital is the digital and technology focused organization within Caterpillar Inc. Our global team is responsible for bringing digital capabilities to Caterpillar's world-famous yellow iron. Working with your yellow partners and Cat Dealers we execute key components of digital and marketing portfolios including global marketing & brand enterprise data analytics and AI equipment management eCommerce digital marketing rental & used digital solutions and aftermarket leads & insights.
What You Will Do
As a Business Intelligence Analyst you will work with product owners and teammates to solve business problems using data. You will help create metrics and reports analyze data for trends and insights and share recommendations that support product decisions. This role is a great opportunity to build experience with data learn different analytical methods and develop your ability to communicate insights clearly to a variety of stakeholders.
What You Will Have - Skills and Experiences
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect identify analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.
- Business Assessment: Knowledge of the activities tasks practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits risks and success factors of potential applications.
- Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools methods and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
- Technical Writing/Documentation: Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals reports guidelines or documents on standards processes and applications.
- Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design build and develop a new product technology or service from concept through to production.
- Research Analysis: Knowledge of concepts methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others.
Top Candidates May Have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Analytics Data Science or related degree (selected candidates must complete their degree by their start date)
- 0-2 years of relevant experience related to this field (internships or academic projects are a plus)
- Minimum cumulative GPA requirement 3.0/ 4.0 (no rounding)
- Experience using SQL Python and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Exposure to tools and concepts such as GitHub Snowflake Cortex data storytelling data analysis and working with large datasets
Additional Information
- Ideal for those building foundational skills in data generally within the first 24 months of their career
- This position is in Chicago or Peoria Illinois
- Basic relocation may be available depending on relocation qualifications

Summary Pay Range:
$81370.00 - $122060.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market location job-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
