Business Intelligence Analyst II
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Develop and automate the publishing of "certified" datasets across the company to enable the ongoing reporting of cross-functional performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), having ownership and responsibility for availability and accuracy of such datasets and other tools
- Utilize published datasets and other data to identify business trends and develop, review and/or present findings and recommendations. Continue to develop construct to access and manipulate data from company data systems and sources in a scalable and automated manner.
- Support the company's investment in growth by working closely with the company's Chief Revenue Officer, Director of Sales Operations, and other Sales leaders to understand current visibility gaps and analysis needs and dedicating a material percentage of time to enhance analytics across the sales organization's efforts
- Manage automation across key business processes including sales commission administration, billing automation, and other key processes that support the company's financial operations
- Conceptualize, prepare and present a variety of analyses, models and recommendations, as well as develop and modify sales and other reporting delivered via dashboards, automatic distribution, etc.
- Provide cross-functional consultative data services through collaborative partnerships, assisting in policy development to support change initiatives where appropriate
- Maintain continuous education and knowledge of business intelligence and analytics industry trends, proposing adjustments to the company's approach to leadership and data strategy cross-functional team
- Support data dictionary, business glossary, training and other initiatives intended to enable self-service users of data and reporting across the organization
- Monitor and optimize data to ensure both compliance and effectiveness of operational and financial processes, identifying anomalies and making recommendations. Understands upstream and downstream impacts to their department.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 - 5 years of experience required in related field (Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, etc.)
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, and other statistical and data-oriented programming languages as well as experience developing and maintaining data pipelines and transformations
- Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Power Platform (BI, Automate, etc.) and relevant Microsoft Azure services (Synapse, Data Factory, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization
- Strong communication skills
- Strong project management skills with ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines
- Build and present analysis and presentations to organizational leaders
- Broad understanding of business
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/BA in related discipline (Business Intelligence, Data Science, Economics, etc.)
- 2 or more years of experience supporting data and business intelligence strategy
- Experience manipulating and developing datasets utilizing back-end data from Salesforce.com, Hubspot, Atlassian suite (particularly JIRA), Google marketing platform (or similar), Kantata (or similar), CloudHealth, and other systems commonly used in high-growth technology businesses
- Experience automating key financial operations processes such as customer invoicing, commission plan administration, etc.
- 2 or more years of experience leading cross functional projects preferred
- Experience in managed IT services industry desired
USD 70,000.00 - 105,000.00 per year
