Business Intelligence Analyst II (B2)

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting analytical solutions used across Applied Material's Applied Global Services(AGS) group. The right individual will possess experience in all stages of BI project work(design, implementation, testing, and deployment) and will have expert level knowledge of Microsoft Power BI(PBI) and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy interactive data visualizations using Power BI
• Provide day to day support for Power BI applications
• Architect, design, develop and deploy enterprise BI solutions that leverage common data architecture and data optimization approaches
• Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for accuracy and efficacy
• Communicate analytic solutions to stakeholders and implement improvements as needed to operationalize systems
• Create training Materials and administer end-user training
• Administer and monitor Power BI Service including capacity, and performance tuning
• Design, develop, optimize, maintain, and support data processes

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline
• 5+ years of experience using SQL for data extraction & building models, PBI for data visualization & analytics, and Excel or similar for data analysis & characterization
• Excellent oral & written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, able to connect the dots and communicate complex ideas effectively
• Experience using statistical computer lan
• gauges (R, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree, neural networks, regression, etc.) and their applications is preferred

U.S. Salary Range:

$84,000.00 - $115,500.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
