Business Intelligence Analyst - Product Analytics

Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for contributing to the reporting and analytics framework of iHerb. This critical role will interact with different business units directly to understand analytical needs and works to deliver reporting, dashboards, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in product and ecommerce analytics. This role will work immensely with different stakeholders and help us leverage data to optimize our product development, user experience, and help our product team thoroughly understand trends and identify opportunities by analyzing various ecommerce and web metrics.

Job Expectations:

• Collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data from various sources, such as user behavior, product performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights for product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives for our products.
• Conducting experiments and testing hypotheses to evaluate the impact of new features, enhancements, and changes on user behavior and satisfaction.
• Work with product managers and marketing teams to develop and implement data-driven strategies.
• Communicating complex data findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assists in implementing effective business analytics practices that drive improved decision making, efficiency, and performance.
• Identifies, communicates, and resolves data quality and data reconciliation issues.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis that provides meaningful insights and synthesized recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 Required:

• At least 3 years of experience as a business intelligence analyst, data analyst, or a similar role in a product-oriented company.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Experience with business intelligence platforms and visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
• Hands-on skills with product analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Adobe Analytics.
• A strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data quality principles.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for finding patterns and insights in data.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• A growth mindset and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.

Preferred:

• Proficient in Google Analytics and Tableau.
• Experience in an analytical programming language, such as Python, R.
• Familiarity with querying Google Analytics unsampled export in BigQuery.
• Prior experience working in ecommerce.
• Knowledgeable in running A/B test and summarizing results.
• Skilled in mobile app analytics, specifically using firebase.
