BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER

This position is responsible for supporting the work of a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Health Systems Implementation Initiative (HSII) multi-year grant. The incumbent will join the Network Performance Group (NPG) and assist in the creation of certified datasets, develop dashboards/reports or other Power BI data visualization, produce supporting documentation, and train end users on the use of the dashboards/reports created.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required (Health Informatics/Analytics, Computer Science or related}

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED: • Experience with Power BI desktop and online service• Experience importing and preparing data, data modeling, and writing advanced DAX expressions in Power Query • Experience creating intuitive interactive dashboards and reports with Power BI• Experience programming in SQL• Strong ability to understand, categorize, and translate business/user requirements to functional technical requirements• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills• Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team

PREFERRED:• Experience with data reporting in health care or related field• Experience creating and managing complex dataflows• Experience programming in Python and incorporating Python scripts into Power BI • Experience implementing row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI• Experience with clinical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, LOINC, CPT, etc)• Experience working with various types of health care data• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record and related databases
