Wachter is currently accepting applications for a Business Intelligence Developer 1 in our Lenexa, KS office. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and improving existing BI systems, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data.

Requirements:

• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field. 
• Industry experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist. 
• Background in data warehouse design and data mining. 
• Strong understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing, and ETL frameworks. 
• Familiarity with BI technologies, specifically Microsoft’s BI Stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) 
• Knowledge of SQL queries and SQL Server Management Studio. 
• A team player that also works well independently. 
• Possesses excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude. 
• Proficient with using smartphones and computers, including email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work well with all groups at Wachter.
• Understanding of Wachter’s business rules, processes, and day-to-day operations for all companies, divisions, departments, and teams.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs to technical specifications. 
• Design, build, and deploy BI solutions. 
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms. 
• Create tools to store data. 
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems. 
• Collaborate with team to integrate systems. 
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses. 
• Maintain the company's high standard of quality and professionalism regarding workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance.
• Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.
