Business Intelligence Developer-Data Analytics
Work Location: Greenwood Village, CO
Employment Type: Full Time - Salary
We offer a hybrid work schedule as part of our dynamic work environment at our Denver corporate office. This is not a 100% remote position.Â
City Light & Power, Inc. has built a reputation as an innovative, reliable and responsive private Utility Development Leader, and we're seeking a Business Intelligence Developer-Data Analytics to join our team. This newly created position will work with various department stakeholders to identify individual and cross-departmental reporting needs, while maintaining and developing dynamic reporting solutions in the data analyst sphere.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions and/or automated solutions
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of data by creating automated testing scripts
- Navigate, understand, and leverage complex data structures for reporting
- Implement robust, reliable, and custom reporting and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI
- Use SQL as main tool for data preparation: extracting, cleansing, aggregation and summarizing data to create meaningful visualizations
- Maintain, update, and distribute client-facing and internal dashboards that track analytics and Key Performance Indicators
- Develop a detailed understanding of City Light & Power, Inc.’s financial controls and accounting business processes, strategies, and goals to provide reporting and data-driven solutions
- Participate in design and implementation of logical and physical data models
- Review proposed production changes to ensure highest quality data standards and lowest production impact
- Support production Power BI solutions by monitoring and tuning SQL queries and data loads
- Proactively make recommendations and identify opportunities to solve business problems through models, charts, graphs, and dashboards
- Develop and maintain training documentation.
- Maintain relevancy and functionality of end-user reports and dashboards
- Address User questions concerning data integrity.
- Provide support and training to End Users.
- Coordinate system development with IT to enhance automation and visibility
- Interact with senior management, department leaders and other employees to develop and reach agreement on reporting requirements and priorities

Skills and Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science required. Focus in data analytics/business intelligence preferred.
- Three-Five (3-5) years’ experience with data analytics projects; using SQL for data preparation and analysis, and providing support to End Users.
- Advanced level skills with Excel, and proficient with other Office products.
- Technical experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio; Microsoft Power Bi and Microsoft Access required.Â
- Previous experience with Python, VBA and GIS is a plus.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
- Must be a Team Player able to work independently and with various internal and external Partners
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new processes and technology.Â
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain a Visitor Military Base Pass
 Compensation & Benefits:

Salary:
- $75,000-$85,000/annually based on experienceÂ
- We reserve the right to pay more or less than the posted salary range based on factors unrelated to sex.
