Business Intelligence Engineer - Remote

We are dedicated to the continuous improvement of our products and are building out a newly formed team that you will help us establish and build an Enterprise Business Intelligence Platform to support Zywave's Analytic and Reporting capabilities.

Performance Objectives

• Collaborate with mission teams, customers, and other key stakeholders to gather data and metrics requirements
• Produce comprehensive, usable dataset documentation, metadata, BI reports, dashboards and insights; Expand self-service capabilities with interactive dashboards, reports, and other visualizations
• Partner with other BI team members to design, develop, and support semantic layers
• Create, maintain and champion the use of processes and tools to promote and facilitate mapping of data to BI sources and interfaces
• Develop BI data management methodology and best practices and educate business users who create their own content
• Collaborate and facilitate with business data analysts and stakeholders to align outcomes to data requirements
• Provide consulting services to analyst, data science, and software development teams
• Establish measurements and processes to chart and assess progress related to completeness and quality of BI information

Factors for Success

• Ability to design and develop dynamic dashboards - portfolio preferred
• Experience with Enterprise BI development including building BI metadata architecture, understanding BI project life cycles and implementing security
• Experience in a design-focused role creating wireframes, prototypes and user research documentation
• Ability to quickly understand business concepts and convert them to actionable data initiatives
• Hands on experience with relational database reporting solutions (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake)
• Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical and intellectual curiosity
• Ability to be a strong agile team member, mentor others, and communicate effectively

• Project coordination experience
• SQL skills to query and manipulate data
• Knowledge of QA best practice
