Business Intelligence Intern

Job Description

Copart is looking for a Business Intelligence Intern for our Copart offices located in Dallas,TX. This position will be reporting to the Manager of Reporting Services, Technology.

This internship is for the Spring/Summer 2023 semester. Candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week to qualify.

This position will assist in duties including, but not limited to, the following:

• Participates in all aspect of building and delivering data warehouse and strategic BI solutions and platforms including but not limited to real-time data pipeline, data visualizations, interactive reports, and custom ad-hoc reporting
• Continuously develops and maintains an understanding of Business Intelligence technology, including data analysis, reporting tools, and other methods of information delivery
• Works closely with key decision makers and IT Business Analysts to identify how data and information needs to be presented throughout the company
• Develops key expertise in data analytics and visualization techniques.
• Analyze, understand, and document user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of user story requests
• Conducts and may facilitate internal testing and user acceptance testing

Requirements

Requirements:

• Must be a recent graduate or student currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer science / Statistics / Math's
• Fundamental knowledge of BI and Analytics concepts and some exposure to data visualizations tools like Tableau, Power BI
• Proficiency in either R or Python
• Extensive knowledge of SQL query design and tuning for performance and accuracy
• Ability to work independently, research, and resolve questions and problem
