BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE MANAGER

The role of the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager is to lead the development of informatics capability designed to optimize patient outcomes and increase operational efficiency at Montefiore. The incumbent will possess mature expertise, content knowledge, and problem solving skills critical for developing customized and sustainable data-driven solutions for problems impacting the medical center.

Education: Master's Degree. Bachelor's degree with significant relevant work experience is acceptable in lieu of a Master's.

EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:• 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics, data analysis, data mining or data management in healthcare related fields• 3-5 years of experience in data reporting using Tableau software• Experience working with various types of health care data (e.g., clinical, billing, operations etc.)• Strong ability to analyze, categorize and translate business/user requirements to functional requirements

PREFERRED:• Strongly prefer proficiency in SQL, or other programming languages, to interface directly with data repositories• Experience working with various types of health care data • Experience with clinical coding terminologies (ICD9-10, LOINC, CPT, etc) • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, establish/enhance business analysis procedures, and improve operational efficiency• Experience working in an environment using the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system• Demonstrated ability to translate business/user requirements to functional requirements• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills to communicate and document user interactions, requirements and create user documents• Excellent presentation skills for effective communication of data insights
