Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Manager to join our TEAM! As the Business Intelligence Manager, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as support BI team, perform data analysis and manage scoping of projects.

Primary Objective

The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for gathering business data through mining a company's computer data, looking at competitor data and industry trends.

Major Function and Scope

• Work closely with our customers to understand business processes/business questions and act as a trusted advisor to reach an ideal Business Intelligence solution that delivers value
• Facilitate discussions to gather and document requirements for Business Intelligence solutions within an environment primarily focused on data warehousing and self-service reporting.
• Collaborate with Project Manager, BI team, and source system teams on solutions, work break down structure, dependencies, and estimates.
• Perform data analysis (using SQL, data profiling tools, and reporting tools) to facilitate requirements gathering, support testing, as well as to troubleshoot production issues.
• Participate in scoping of projects and document BI solution requirements following approved standards.
• As part of requirements process, facilitate definition of business rules that drive the BI solution.
• Assist in supporting Project Management needs - including scheduling, planning, issues tracking, and reporting status
• Document Test Cases, Lead Quality Assurance testing, and manage User Verification process.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a business intelligence business analysis role within a data warehousing/data mart environment OR 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/planning with a focus on systems, data analysis, reporting.
• Experience with requirements gathering and production support.
• Experience using SQL or similar query tool for performing detailed data analysis.
• BusinessObjects Web Intelligence experience a plus but willing to train the right candidate.
• Knowledge of data quality concepts and master data management concepts helpful.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with technical teams as well as business customers.

Highly motivated self-starter.

Ability to work effectively in a diverse and global work group and to achieve results through global team efforts.
