Job Description

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 24 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-Business Management

The Business Management job is responsible for providing day-to-day support for business strategy projects for the assigned functional business area. Under general supervision, this job supports strategic business management consulting by generating metrics and drafting reports to support business strategies. This job helps ensure that the assigned functional business area is optimized and cost effective.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Generates metrics and drafts and reviews reports in assigned functional business area to inform decisions on tactical issues that impact the business.
  • Implements policies and procedures in support of the business area strategy.
  • Executes process improvements in the assigned business area.
  • Analyzes and reports on area data (financial, headcount, etc.) and performance metrics.
  • Supports business management projects by documenting risks, issues and action items.
  • Participates in meeting planning in support of business projects and objectives.

Business Management Specialist - Client Services Business Management Office

Hybrid-flex role based out of any of the following locations: Denver, Charlotte, Dallas, New York City, Iselin

Scope: As part of the Client Services Business Management Office, this role is responsible for supporting associate readiness and engagement activities within the Client Services lines of business. The position carries out general business management duties, including:

  • Partnering with chiefs of staff, culture action teams, and readiness organizations within the Client Services lines of business, and with other Client Services Business Management teams, to support their day-to-day operational efforts.
  • Developing creative solutions to engage and prepare associates working in high-volume contact center and back-/middle-office operations environments.
  • Interacting with business partners about projects/initiatives to understand and communicate impacts to Client Services.
  • Conducting research and gathering and creating content for key business events and presentations (e.g., town halls, lunch and learn sessions, executive reporting needs).
  • Supporting/staffing associate engagement and recognition programs and events.
  • Collaborating with other business management partners on behalf of Client Services.

  • Provide change management and communications support to enable the success of the company's major transformation efforts.
  • Be passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service to internal customers/business partners
  • Able to work and learn quickly in a fast-paced, fun, and dynamic environment

Interaction: This position interacts with management levels within assigned client organization.

Experience, Degrees, Certifications, Licensing, and Registration:

  • 3-5 years of business management experience, preferably in financial services and with an emphasis on associate engagement and readiness
  • Bachelor's Degree in business management, project management, communications/public relations, or related area of study
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products (Word and PowerPoint in particular); web and graphic design capabilities a plus
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills, and familiarity with AP Style
  • Project management capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal presentation skills
  • Experience developing online content and knowledge of web-based content management systems
  • Ability to function effectively in an environment of ongoing change, reprioritization, and reorganization
  • Open-minded team player who embodies TIAA's corporate values

Start Date: 01-May-2023

End Date: 01-May-2025

Travel Required: Yes

Base Pay Range: $55.81/hr. - $64.71/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
