The APAC Payments Corporate Sales Business Manager - Associate role sits within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) supporting the APAC Payments Corporate Sales team.
Job Summary:
As an APAC Payments Corporate Sales Business Manager - Associate within the Finance & Business Management (F&BM) department, you will be responsible for acting as a trusted advisor and partner with the APAC Payments Corporate & eCommerce Sales Head to track and execute sales growth strategy and business priorities. You will review, analyze and track sales pipeline performance through close collaboration with various local and regional sales teams. You are responsible for performing strategic analysis on financial performance including but not limited to forecast on revenues, headcounts and expenses to support management reporting, business reviews or senior management presentations. Demonstrating strategic thinking and deep understanding of the Payments business drivers coupled with a strong business acumen, you are expected to lead discussions and provide advice and recommendations to the regional Sales Head.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner proactively with Sales to deliver business objectives, create financial presentations and reports for management meetings, business reviews, revenue performance and sales budget planning
- Oversee client prioritization, pipeline management and deal governance for Corporate and eCommerce Sales team, whilst analyzing key trends, themes and providing transparency to senior management
- Ensure alignment with other regional sales business management and global industry teams to review corridor/ industry performance to increase share of wallet across Payments products
- Work with the Planning and Analysis teams to provide accurate business analytics, financial reports and forecasts whilst partnering with other business managers in Asia or globally on key deliverables
- Partner with and provide guidance to control functions (e.g., BCO, Deal Control) on sales process to ensure compliance to policies
- Project manage existing and new business initiatives to timely completion, whilst handling ad-hoc requests
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial institutions in Finance, Strategy, Business Management or related functions
- Ability to work independently in a results-oriented, dynamic and fast paced environment; deliver result within tight timeframe under high pressure situations
- Able to develop and manage relationship with key stakeholders and navigate in a multi-regional and matrix reporting organization
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly while paying attention to details and excellent presentation skills and experience in managing senior level discussions
- Advanced Excel knowledge and expertise in producing high quality PowerPoint slides and ability to interrogate and interpret financial reports
- Strong analytical, problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and dynamically prioritize or adapt with ever-changing and sometimes conflicting demands
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Familiarity with modern automation and data analytic tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- A thorough understanding and appreciation of risks and controls, with motivation to improve processes and resolve issues
- A good team player and a self-starter with a positive attitude, motivation and an ability to learn quickly
- Experience in cash management, merchant acquiring and trade finance products and services
