We are seeking a highly disciplined Director, Business Operations to lead this new shared services function of the Finexio business. This key leader will service as both a player and coach leading a team of Business Operations Managers to partner with assigned functional leadership to identify and drive key initiatives to attain desires results, provide data analysis and modeling, create and maintain a process library, establish process domain expertise and manage relevant process and systems changes within the organization.

You will be successful by developing a high-performing team of Business Operations Managers focused on creating order out of chaos, designing and implementing functionally synergistic processes and expertly prioritizing the necessary changes that drive our business evolution.

Leadership

  • Provide leadership, direction, and support for the Business Operations team including capacity planning, skill development and project prioritization.
  • Develop, communicate and oversee the shared services function with a focus on building consistent process and delivering predictable results.
  • Ensure all department goals are effective and measurable and oversee business operations services functions to achieve established performance goals. Analyze results and ensure direct reports' awareness of progress related to goals.
  • Develop high performing leaders and team members through the promotion of an environment of professional development and employee engagement. Establish successful employee onboarding training, define career paths, and effectively coach employees to success.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement and lead and encourage the team to achieve their very best.
  • Partner with Finexio leadership to prioritize forward driving organization initiatives focused on achieving top-line and bottom-line financial targets.
  • Foster a process improvement mindset and apply process improvement methods and tools to support the business in achieving objectives
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards that capture meaningful data into Business Operations through leading and lagging indicators and early warning mechanisms.

Individual Contributor

  • Partner with assigned functional departments to develop strategic projects that enable the business to execute its highest priority initiatives with results.
  • Build and grow scalability into the payment operations function including but not limited to streamlining processes and automating simple tasks.
  • Leverage data to conduct in-depth analyses across areas of the business to develop an understanding of key value drivers, identifying improvement areas and opportunities.
  • Foster a process improvement mindset and apply process improvement methods and tools to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain process expertise in assigned business function(s).
  • Define and document business requirements for prioritized process and systems changes.
  • Support process design and corresponding system requirements in the appropriate departmental tech stack.
  • Collaborate with product management to incorporate changes to products and services into operational processes. Negotiate resource needs to align with organizational priorities.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with project team, peers, and senior leadership.
  • Develop strong business acumen and facilitate strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure operational processes meet department needs while effectively aligning to those of adjacent functions.
  • Design and maintain reports and dashboards that capture meaningful data of assigned functional area to include leading and lagging indicators and early warning mechanisms.
  • Effectively analyze available data and identify new data needs to successfully inform current and future business decisions.
  • Manage constant change while maintaining strong business alignment, ensuring strong customer engagement.
  • Responsible for analysis, planning, testing, and implementation of projects and tasks.
  • Ensure effective change management, documentation, and training.

Requirements

Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience developing and leading high-performing teams
  • 5+ years of work experience in a related role (or a mixed of related roles); e.g., management consulting, client services and back-office operations in B2B or B2C, business operations in a technology company.
  • 3+ years' experience in an analytical role (e.g., business, marketing, sales, finance analytics).
  • Proven track record of exceptional operating discipline
  • Excellent project management, tactical planning and execution skills
  • Advanced Excel modeling experience and knowledge including Macros, Pivot Tables, and Formulas (arrays, lookups, logical, reference, and text functions).
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience writing complex queries preferred.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through programs or projects.
  • Proven track record of process improvement analysis and implementation, and systems automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet critical deadlines and work on a predefined schedule.
  • Demonstrated understanding of B2B payment methods and processes is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence leaders and effectively negotiate with internal and external business partners
  • Manage expectations and deliverables at the executive level
  • Experience in financial services, high growth SaaS or FinTech startup required.
  • Exceptional data analysis and interpretation skills required.
  • Strong experience leveraging core operating platforms such as Salesforce required.
  • Must be someone who thrives in a dynamic, high pressure and at times hectic environment with a culture of harnessing ongoing process improvement and a 'can do' attitude
  • BA in accounting, finance, economics, business or other related field. MBA preferred.

Compensation: $130,000 - $165,000 base + equity.
