Job Description

About Opendoor

Founded in 2014, Opendoor’s mission is to empower everyone with the freedom to move. We believe the traditional real estate process is broken and our goal is simple: build a digital, end-to-end customer experience that makes buying and selling a home simple, certain and fast. We have assembled a dedicated team with diverse backgrounds to support more than 100,000 homes bought and sold with us and the customers who have selected Opendoor as a trusted partner in handling one of their largest financial transactions. But the work is far from over as we continue to grow in new markets. Transforming the real estate industry takes tenacity and dedication. It takes problem solvers and builders. It takes a tight knit community of teammates doing the best work of their lives, pushing one another to transform a complicated process into a simple one.  So where do you fit in? Whether you’re passionate about real estate, people, numbers, words, code, or strategy -- we have a place for you. Real estate is broken. Come help us fix it.
About the Team

The Retail Partnerships team at Opendoor works with key partners and players in the Real Estate industry, from Homebuilders to Agent Brokerages to Online Real Estate platforms. We are a small but highly experienced team, focused on launching, improving, and scaling our partnerships. The Business Operations Lead will wear multiple hats, isn’t afraid to roll-up their sleeves, and work on highly impactful projects focused on our Agent Partnerships. The Agent Partnerships channel is the largest Partnerships channel that services individual agents, brokerages, and corporate partners.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Drive cross-functional projects from strategy to execution
  • Work closely with the Biz Ops teams, General Manager, and functional leads to identify, diagnose and resolve business performance issues
  • Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional team (including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations and other internal groups, etc.), working to share knowledge and drive people towards a common goal
  • Collaborate closely with business development and partner managers to grow new partnerships and maintain existing relationships
  • Synthesize feedback from functional teams, customers, partners, and other stakeholders to identify process gaps and optimization opportunities
  • Write/conduct analyses in Excel and SQL; team dashboards, financial analysis/models, toolsets, etc.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels (within the team, to cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, to leadership/executives)
  • Pitch in however you can when needed. We are a lean team working in a fast-paced environment; when things break you'll be a key player in diagnosis, resolution, and long term solutions
Skills Needed:
  • 3+ years professional experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Management Consulting, Investment Banking, or similar
  • Strong analytical and technical skills; Excel and Powerpoint required
  • Very process-driven with extremely high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Can work collaboratively with different cross-functional teams
  • Highly self-motivated, have a stellar work ethic, and you’re looking for the right company to support your growth
  • A positive attitude, a collaborative spirit, and a strong desire to achieve their goals.
Bonus Points if:
  • Have experience in Real Estate or interest in Real Estate
  • Know SQL or have willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working with senior leadership (S-Team, E-Team)
