Business Operations Senior Associate

The Business Operations team owns the strategic planning of the business, operations, and finances. They work closely with cross-functional teams like the Product, Engineering, and Servicing teams to drive efficiency, scale the business, and ensure the business is heading in the right direction. As a member of this team, you will use your analytical skills to drive operational excellence across the business and fulfill Valon’s mission of creating a great user experience for homeowners.

We’re looking for a high-performing Business Operations Associate to solve ambiguous problems and drive the business forward, whether that means starting a new business unit or project managing internal controls. We're seeking team members who are comfortable building models, performing analyses, and getting in the weeds to execute and build out processes.

• Develop high-level business strategy based on company goals 
• Determine business requirements and launch new operations
• Optimize existing operations
• Determine and set KPIs based on business and market research, monitor business performance, and execute in-depth analyses to translate data into insights and recommendations
• Analyze the company’s P&L for opportunities to drive operational efficiencies and forecast revenue and costs
• Be the business strategy context liaison for Product Managers
• Measure and analyze business risk decisions
• Own business negotiations with vendors and partners
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects involving multiple teams and verticals

• 2+ years of experience at a top-tier banking or consulting firm
• Strong command of spreadsheets
• Proven ability to convince stakeholders of the value of their proposals
• Resilient, positive attitude
