About the Team:

The Data & Analytics team works across AlphaSense to make data an asset for growth. We do that through infrastructure, process, well-modeled and documented data, analysis, and deep partnership with the business. We own and manage the data stack, consisting of Segment, Fivetran, Stitch, Dataform, BigQuery and Looker. In addition to technical leadership, we partner across departments to raise the analytics bar, drive operational improvement, and support growth. Our work spans BI dashboards for business and executive users, ML models for critical business challenges, and data & infrastructure to support our AI engineers. 

About the Role: 

The Data & Analytics team is driving enterprise agility and scale through digital transformation initiatives for AlphaSense on our journey toward a successful IPO. We are documenting and operationalizing core business processes to enable transparency, faster decision making, and agility in delivering our products and services. The Business Process Analyst will partner with Business Process Architect(s) across the full spectrum of Business Process Management activities to drive discovery, modeling, analysis, measurement, improvement, optimization, and automation of enterprise-wide business processes and associated. The role will focus heavily on the analytics end of that spectrum (business process mining, data discovery/modeling/analysis, and deploying key process measurement statistics), delivering the right telemetry and insights to ensure success of cross-enterprise process improvement initiatives. The Business Process Analyst will be a pivotal player in identifying root causes to business process inefficiencies and collaborating effectively to solve many of the companies most strategically important challenges as we aim to go public.

• You have an extreme level of curiosity and tenacity, and you get up every day excited to challenge the status quo. You love taking things apart just to see how they work. 
• Minimum two (2) years of process improvement, consulting, or related business experience, preferably in a SaaS company
• Minimum of two (2) years experience in process mapping and a range of root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
• Strong data and business analyst skills
• Experience with executing change management plans, including but not limited to developing awareness, training and communication materials, including facilitating knowledge sharing activities
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent) certification is a plus
• Business Process Management Institute (BPMI) certification or equivalent preferred (e.g. BPMP, BAIP, DXP, etc.)

Nice to Have:

• Experience working on data quality, data warehousing or other enterprise data and analytic management initiatives
• Experience using data governance and data quality tools

What You’ll Do: 

• You will engage key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify and document the current state of highly complex end-to-end business processes and their systems’ data.
• Align stakeholders on common measures for quality process performance
• Perform quality control/ quality assurance on processes and datasets to ensure consistency and accuracy (establishing thresholds and processes to identify & correct anomalies)
• Assist in monitoring of metrics and maintaining accurate and timely visibility into the status of the processes, remediation, and compliance efforts
• Support the design of end-to-end data visualizations/reporting solutions, from data extraction to the presentation, to address the business needs
• Through data analysis and visualization, identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to identify trouble areas and constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on support data.
• Based on your analysis you will work with key business leaders and propose process improvements that will increase business process efficiency and/or system data quality
• You will understand and document all process and data model changes, and the impacts of those changes throughout the business, driving prioritization of requirements
• Accountable to keep process models current and develop a program to capture updates as they occur
• Responsible for the consolidated documentation of business process flows and the operational model for ongoing documentation, testing, and approvals to change the data attributes, values, and measures that are impacted by those flows.
• Supports and drives the implementation of process-related policies, standards, and best practices.
