Job Description Summary
As a Business Solutions Analyst in Global Parts Pricing, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate project leadership, requirement/process analysis, and strategic execution of analytics-based initiatives in the areas parts pricing. This role serves as the facilitator and collaborator in completing analytics projects between the technical and business teams. Top candidates will have strong experience as a business analyst with knowledge of business intelligence experience and data engineering practices.
Job Description
As a Business Solutions Analyst in Global Parts Pricing, you will manage the end-to-end insight development process starting with requirements gathering to solution delivery for primarily analytics-based projects which in turn solves problems for internal Caterpillar customers. You will contribute to the Parts Pricing mission by engaging in projects of medium to high complexity with direct business impact. This role is primarily focused on facilitating the development of business insights, data governance, process management, and business requirements gathering.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Business System Process Owner for assigned functional areas within the Pricing team
• Collaborate with the Business and Information Technology Teams to drive solutions and enhancements to existing analytics solutions
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions and gathering information from the pricing team.
• Constructs workflow charts and diagrams; studies capabilities; writes business requirements.
• Maintains the analytics enhancements and features via the DevOps board
• Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Create business requirements necessary to support
• Develop and maintains a strategy plan for supported products
• Collaborate and engage stakeholders to understand their data needs in order to deliver quality business intelligence solutions

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years progressive job experience in a business process or analyst role, or pricing role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with requirements gathering, facilitating business process discussions, and driving business process solutions
• Ability to listen actively by summarizing, asking clarifying questions, and interpreting data
• Ability to analyze business processes and identify opportunities through applications
• Experience driving solutions with a mixed team of technical and business experts
• Advanced communication and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and facilitate activities or projects

Desired Qualifications:

• Demonstrated project management experience
• Experience with Power BI
• Six-sigma certification or experience
• DevOps and Agile experience
• Experience in report and dashboard development
