Job Description
F&G is looking to hire for a Business Process Analyst.
Role Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of life and annuity processes and business platforms, analyzing, identifying, and recommending process improvements and providing ongoing support of operations projects and initiatives, participating in meetings, testing, documentation, and training.Β Β
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for enhanced experiences for employees, agents, and policyholders.
- Drive the analysis and implementation of process improvements.
- Analyze and document current state processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and design solutions for target state. Document solution requirements (i.e. user stories).
- Develop user test cases and assist with user acceptance and regression testing; validate test results. Provide signoff on behalf of Operations as needed.
- Monitor submitted projects and communicate progress, issues, and any action items to the Insurance Operations team and/or other impacted teams. Assist with prioritization.
- Investigate and assist with remediation of production incidents.
- Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with Insurance Operations teams, TPAs, and other vendors.
- Participate in project-related meetings to ensure productive outcomes.
- Document current business processes and workflows.
- Assist with department training and documentation and handoffs to Insurance Operations team.
- Create and/or identify ways to improve upon current reporting, providing specific recommendations based on review and analysis.
Risk Responsibilities:
- Understand existing controls, and anticipate how projects and associated project changes may impact them.
Education & Experience:Β
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of life and/or annuity experience, with focus on data, quality standards, documentation, audit, and/or implementation of regulatory changes.
- Project Management or Business Analyst experience a plus.
- LOMA coursework and/or formal business process improvement training such as Six Sigma is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Perform other functions, duties and projects as assigned
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Some travel required (less than 10%)
