As a Business Product Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the success of maintaining and evolving the platforms that we leverage for digital collections. The ideal candidate is well versed in project management, analytics, business, documentation, problem solving, and collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates a sense of urgency, superb communication, loves product challenges, managing complex problems, and partnering with cross-functional areas of the business to execute and drive outcomes.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member who is naturally curious and is able to truly own platforms to become the center of knowledge. Additionally, this role will need to be highly proficient in SQL and Python to be able to make data driven decisions, create dashboards that track platform performance, and make collection strategy changes. As the owner of various collections tools, responsibilities include documentation such as managing and updating standard operating procedures, partnering closely with product managers on customer experience and analytics, and collaborating closely with Risk to make strategy changes.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for researching and determining root cause(s) for issues and providing technical support for internal tools used by Servicing and Collections teams. 
  • Receives, registers, and provides technical service to the requests or problems coming in from all escalation channels and communicates solutions, actions or root cause.
    • Solutions are provided by using diagnostics, troubleshooting techniques, service technical information or knowledge, work orders creating service and keeping the internal users informed of the service status.
  • Creates and manages change management. 
  • Elevates the most severe escalations to stakeholders for awareness and support.
  • Pull your own data and run analysis on product performance. 
  • Set up statistically sound A/B testing using a robust Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology to test various aspects of collections strategy and operations
  • Own the digital collection platforms end-to-end:
    • Optimization of electronic channel communication tools, including design of contact strategy, channel strategy, and message tone and functionality. 
    • Manage new strategy element testing and implementation. 
    • Create and manage alert/fault reporting with the support of product/tech stakeholders.
    • Support assessment and implementation of risk technology platforms and processes to improve operations' capacity, efficiency, and functionality.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to understand collections risk performance trends and anomalies, and proactively identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in a role that offered hands-on experience on managing complex internal tools. 
  • Exceptional Excel skills and hands-on experience programming in Python and SQL. 
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of complex problems.
  • Great analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • You obsess about continuous product improvement. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done. 
  • You are a systems thinker: you can envision how systems work together on top of sophisticated platforms to serve multiple user groups.
  • You are a creative product thinker who loves collaborating across the company with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Risk. 
  • You excel at navigating difficult tradeoffs.
  • Experience taking analyses from raw data to polished recommendations and communicating complex, technical findings to broad audiences.
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.

Compensation: The role described above offers a base salary of $75,000 to $100,000.  Your offer will be based on the alignment of your qualifications with the requirements of the job, location, and internal equity.  In addition to the above-mentioned salary, Total Rewards include a stock option package, and benefits as outlined below.
