Take your project management skills to a newly created team designed to synthesize aggregated information across the organization to ensure our overall underwriting strategies are producing optimal profitability. This new position provides ample opportunity to learn the business while gaining exposure to senior leadership. You will also get the opportunity to help build and establish this new function and team.
The primary responsibility of the Business Project Coordinator is to handle all functionality needed to support CNA's product board and global underwriting committee framework. Duties include compiling exhibits of core information, both analytical and qualitative, required for various product boards, maintaining distribution lists of information across all of CNA's job functions and ensuring information is provided to the right individuals at the right time. In this position you will also ensure that information from product boards, as well as decisions and discussion minutes, flow directly to the global underwriting committee. Opportunities may also arise to organize large special projects.
Successful candidates will be highly organized with strong communication skills and effective at ensuring the right activities occur at the right time to make sure the global underwriting committee framework drives successful underwriting execution across CNA's global organization.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
  • C ommunicates with key leadership to maintain clear documentation of roles and accountabilities.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to compile sets of key information and releases that information in a timely manner to stakeholders.
  • Ensures effective documentation of minutes and decisions in core product board meetings for review by the global underwriting committee.
  • Ensures effective tracking of key deliverables as determined by the product boards and global underwriting committee.
  • Tracks and assists with project management related to activities spanning multiple product boards under the guide of the global underwriting committee.

May perform additional duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationship
Director or above
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry as well as an understanding of the company's products.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and to make critical business decisions effectively.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years project related experience.
