We are looking for a creative, results-driven, and detail-oriented Project Manager with a background as a business consultant who is looking to apply their skills to a cross-section of a software business. This person will report directly to the SVP & GM Software and work closely with the senior management team, sales, marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders. The Project Manager role provides project management services primarily to the Software Business Unit Leadership, owning the planning, researching, organizing, managing, coordinating, and executing activities related to assigned projects to ensure successful and efficient achievement of project goals. This position also provides some day-to-day support to the SVP & GM Software.

A day in the life of our Business Project Manager:
Project Management (80%):
- Lead the definition of project scope, strategy, and objectives by involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Take ownership and coordinate with internal teams and third parties to successfully deliver projects
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress; maintain comprehensive project documentation; develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget and manage project changes and their impact on schedules and costs
- Conduct research associated with projects and ensure that resources are available and allocated
- Understand and manage the project risks and measure project performance
- Assist in managing the business unit budget, providing monthly reports of budget status and variances; identify potential risks and make recommendations
- Use and continually develop leadership skills
Support and Other Duties (20%):
- Calendaring, meeting logistics, and travel support to the GM & SVP Software
- Support the GM & SVP Software with the creation of documents & presentations
- Create meeting agendas, draft written communications, prepare presentation templates, set meeting schedules, and distribute materials
- Other administrative support as needed
Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
- 5+ years’ experience handling projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong planning, organization, budgeting, decision-making, and project/time management skills; able to organize detailed tasks and meet tight deadlines
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
- With minimal supervision, can work efficiently, anticipate needs, and take the initiative to move projects forward
- Thorough and accurate, able to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Strong familiarity with PM tools (Gantt charts), project performance tracking, and report generation (data analytics a strong plus)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with exceptional customer service skills
- Exceptional writing skills with exemplary proofreading skills and demonstrated competency with spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality
- Affinity with the Electronics / PCB Design industry is a plus
The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation packages within this range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate and role requirements, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
