As a Business Project Manager in the ELSE (Electrification Services) Americas Organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced environment and solve complex problems. In this role, you will participate in critical system migrations needed to sustain and grow the ELSE services future business, partner with the IS Organization to drive standardization in project management in order to meet deadlines, and participate in building system solution capability and grow together with the rapidly developing business. This role is open to remote candidates on the Eastern Time Zone in the US.

Your responsibilities
- Manage ELSE's more complex IS projects; ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality are met.
- Ensure successful delivery of the business/IS project; closely collaborating with the IS project manager on overall project success and all required project documentation.
- Plan, schedule, coordinate to make sure required project deliverable outcomes to time, scope, cost, and quality are met.
- Collaborate with business team to make sure all requirements are clearly conveyed to IS project team, and work with IS team to mitigate gaps.
- Monitor and report project financials, including budget consumption and project invoicing.
- Ensure appropriate business Project Management standards, methods and processes are followed.
- Proactively work with IS and business leadership to support development of project management plans (plan projects, objectives, value/benefits, scope, timeline, resources, cost, and risks) for assigned projects.
- Ensure consistent project communications, including formal project status reporting on performance against plan and expected business outcomes, along with team updates.
- Proactively manage project issues and scope changes to minimize the impact on the execution plan.
- Adeptly identify and manage project risks, ensuring appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place and schedules are managed according to the risk conditions.
- Liaison with the IS Run organization to ensure timely planning and engagement of hand over to operations as a part of the overall project plan.
- Facilitate project close out, including value delivery assessments and capture of key lessons learned.
- Point person for ELSE business during hypercare and follow on phases of requirements.
Your background
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field and comparable experience.
- 7+ years of experience managing business/IS programs and projects.
- SAP experience.
- Master's Degree or MBA in Program/Project Management or comparable certifications preferred.
- Experience leading transformational projects.
- Experience partnering with IS team on complex projects.
- Experience with SFDC preferred.
- Strong negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills; ability to negotiate resolution of controversial issues with businesses and IS team.
- Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership/management competencies.
- Strong understanding of how to drive organizational change management.
- Experience using project management tools.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Project related travel may be required during certain project phases; up to 30%.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
