Business Project Senior Advisor - Evernorth - Remote

Evernorth Care Delivery is a dynamic, growth business within Evernorth. The Strategy & Execution team is seeking an experienced project leader to drive forward strategic and innovative initiatives within a dynamic, growth business. Primary responsibility is to lead and deliver large complex projects, ensuring operational readiness, across the Evernorth Care Delivery organization. This role will simultaneously lead multiple large projects and programs and work closely with leadership of business units and key stakeholders to understand and evaluate business-specific requirements, and to drive the development and execution of solutions to address highly complex business needs. Projects and programs can range in content, including (but not limited to), strategy development, business and clinical operations, process development and/or improvement, data, technology, finance, and program design.

This role will assess impact and implications from a cost, efficiency, contractual, legal and/or regulatory standpoint. Comfort in operating in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and providing thought leadership and technical project management expertise across multiple disciplines will support strong performance in this role.

What you must have

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, Master's Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of project management/related work experience required.
• 3+ years of experience working in Healthcare strongly preferred.
• Ability to think strategically, work in ambiguous situations, respond favorably to change, execute efficiently, work under deadline pressure and manage multiple projects.
• Strong business acumen, with proven ability to quickly acquire knowledge in new business areas and new types of projects.
• Ability to lead and influence in a matrixed environment is critical.
• Ability to lead virtual project teams spread across the entire country is required.
• Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodology, a plus.
• PMP certification, Lean Six Sigma certification and/or Change Management Certification are valued.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead large, complex, multi-functional projects to delivery using a variety of methodologies (agile, waterfall, hybrid).
• Utilize established project management methodology, tools and techniques to manage scope, schedule, and resources to deliver the required capabilities on time and within budget while appropriately ensuring the business is ready and risks are mitigated.
• Proactively identify risks and create contingency/mitigation plans; escalate risks along with potential solutions.
• Identify key stakeholders, gather requirements, and implement appropriate stakeholder governance.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with project partners across the company along with the ability to challenge them to drive alignment on execution of deliverables.
• Apply change management discipline to all appropriate facets of a project lifecycle.
• Assess project performance against measures of success and evaluate project status, resource utilization and implementation of changes to improve the teams' effectiveness.
• Provide consultative services to sponsor and stakeholders to safeguard against scope creep; adhere to change control processes.
• Facilitate business decision making to ensure solutions align with strategy and can be sustained by the business.
• Ensure solutions will realize Evernorth Care Delivery's projected benefits and document value created.
• Lead regular project meetings and ensure a positive, collaborative work environment for the project team and matrix partners.
• Champion the organization's project management methodology, tools and techniques; ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from previous projects.
• Maintain all required project reporting including project status updates; Develop communication(s) to ensure customers, stakeholders and resources are aware of project status, risks and dependencies.
• Ensure all project close activities are completed including retrospectives and lessons learned and ensure transition plan to business as usual is documented, socialized and agreed to with stakeholders.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 99,200 - 165,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
