Business Pursuit Sales Manager - GM
Job Description
We have been designing electrical architectures for more than 100 years and leading the industry in the evolution of vehicle architectures. We like to think of the electrical distribution system as a nervous system, moving power and data throughout a vehicle. High-speed data transmission systems send information from the vehicle's eyes and ears (sensors) to the brain (computing platforms).
We bring our deep experience and systems integration expertise, whether we are building to print or providing full design services of the entire vehicle electrical architecture. We solve our customers' most challenging problems.
Your Role
As the Sales Business Pursuit Manager - GM for Aptiv EDS segment, you will lead commercial activities, drive account performance, and achieve revenue targets. You will support special projects, develop pursuit strategies, and maintain strong customer relationships. With expertise in wire harness applications, you will ensure compliance, educate customers, coordinate global pricing and drive growth, generate cost-saving proposals, and contribute to Aptiv EDS segment's success.
- Lead and coordinate customer interactions
- Manage account performance to exceed targets
- Resolve commercial issues promptly
- Identify and pursue revenue opportunities
- Uphold Aptiv cultural values
- Support special projects
- Lead pursuit for GM (BEV and ICE vehicles)
- Expand customer base and new business prospects
- Develop winning pursuit strategy with cross-functional teams
- Stay informed about customer plans and market trends
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements
- Educate customers on Aptiv capabilities
- Coordinate global quotes and pricing
- Collaborate with customers on engineering changes
- Maintain customer revenue forecast and price history
- Oversee business relationship and scorecard
- Address supply, quality, and cost issues
- Track and report progress towards goals
- Manage customer teams and deliverables
- Demonstrate expertise in wire harness applications and portfolio
- Build positive relationships with purchasing and engineering
- Support product development and commercial needs
- Generate cost/savings proposals
- Ensure customer-specific compliance
Your Background
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a Sales Account Management role
- Bachelor's Degree
- Analytical capability and business acumen
- Technical awareness and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong people and communication skills
- High energy, a passion for success, the desire to lead
- Self-starter, Ability to manage multiple activities effectively without supervision.
- Willingness to travel 10-20%
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong business acumen and finance skills
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
- Supervisory experience in Sales, Business, or engineering
- Fluent: Spanish
- Master's Degree
- Previous experience working with wiring harness supplier
- Past sales/finance/engineering experience
- Knowledgeable with vehicle wiring system designs and/or processes
- Ability to comprehend customer requirements and communicate them effectively to the internal organization
- Successful history of leading a program team activity with a customer
