Business Services Associate
Job Description
Position Summary
The Business Services Associate assists with building needs. All incoming and outgoing mail. They report to the Building Services Manager. Â
Essential Functions
- Picks up mail at Post Office.
- Bank runs as needed.
- Prepares and processes outgoing specialty mailings via manual or folder inserter.
- Sorts all incoming mail, interdepartmental mail; sorts according to appropriate destination; distributes to all departments in a timely manner.
- Sorts and weighs all outgoing mail and packages; affixes appropriate postage using postage meter; transports to post office.
- Assists with Policy Issue/Central Intake:
- Opens incoming mail.
- Releases jobs in the queue for main printer.
- Prints applications for policy issue from ImageNow.
- Building Maintenance:
- Reviews and responds to AC requests.
- Manages small plumbing issues until the building engineer arrives.
- Moves small furniture items.
- Delivers forms/ copy paper to departments.
- Stocks supplies for equipment in mailroom.
- Calls for service on mail equipment.
- Sets up training room for meetings.
- Ad hoc responsibilities as assigned.

 Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED, Required
- 1 – 2 years’ work experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Must have a proactive, positive attitude and is a team player.
- Must be able to multitask effectively.
- Must be flexible and adapts quickly to change.
- Ability to accurately sort and distribute large amounts of mail.
- Ability to organize tasks and time to ensure timely completion of all projects.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb a ladder.
