WWT is looking for a Business Solution Manager (BSM) to act as an IT liaison with our business partners. The BSM will work with business partners for a given value stream to understand large initiative requests, create strategic roadmaps for them, and coordinate work between various product owners to achieve the initiative's goal. A BSMs success is measured by their ability to assist the business owners and process owners in optimizing their process and identifying where technology can create efficiencies, reduce work, or create opportunities that will drive the business forward.
The BSM serves as a trusted advisor to the business. As such they rely, not only, on their product management knowledge but also on their interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. BSMs are expected to be proactive and consultative, offering solutions and ideas to help their business partners achieve their goals. As a BSM, you will be seen as a leader within IT and will work with all levels of the business.
The ideal BSM is capable of quickly coming up to speed on their given value stream and business domain, as well as the current technology solutions utilized. During discovery, they will need to dig in and conduct research to fully understand the business needs around each strategic initiative. The BSM will work closely with both the business owner, process owner, and IT solution architect to develop solutions. They will also help guide the business and IT through application of UX and product analytics. BSMs are expected to have a good grasp of product management, road mapping, story mapping, and process mapping techniques.
The Business Solution Manager reports directly to the Director of Sales Business solutions and can be based anywhere in the United States. This BSM role will focus on the Sales Operations and Customer Support organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Understand business partners strategic initiatives and assist them with setting milestones, creating a roadmap, and defining success metrics
- Pair with process owners and IT solution architects to utilize technology to improve business processes and achieve the businesses strategic initiatives
- Work with product owners and solutions architects to identify appropriate technology solutions
- Collaborateswiththe business owner, product owners, domain architects, and solutionarchitectto translate thetechnology designinto deliverylifecycle components: Initiatives, Epics,Capabilities, and Stories
- Understand end-to-end process for target users (sales/client)and their primary jobs/goals to beaccomplished
- Understand all technology solutions currently part of the users' digital journey required to complete their job
- Understand all other teams and systems indirectly impacted by the users' digital journeys and identify and plan for dependencies
- Provide input to business on objectives with digital journey implications.
- Utilize UX techniques to identify opportunities, working with the process owner,for improving the digital journey and creating more efficient business processes and clientexperiences
- Act as an advocate to business units; consulting, communicating, explaining, and advising on how technology can complement and enhance process.
- An extension of the business owner, drive and align process, data, and technology teams toward defined strategic initiatives and defined business outcomes
- Forecast and report on updates to strategic initiatives and progress toward milestones
- Jointly prepares regular progress reviews with business owner and process owners on
- results achieved through various feature releases.
- improvement areas across products respective of organization: adoption, usability, performance, reliability
- Work with product owners to prioritize work for strategic initiatives alongside product maintenance and enhancement changes.
- Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communications between IT teams and business stakeholders
- Keep current on industry, technology & company standards
Qualifications:
- Able to utilize business outcomes to clarify vision, strategic initiatives, manage scope, and determine value metrics
- Proven capability to build trust with business partners & communicate with clarity and transparency
- Prior background managing efforts in a matrixed organization
- Able to influence those over whom they do not have direct control and foster a team environment
- Ability to demonstrate a consultative mindset when interacting with Business Owners and Stakeholders.
- Demonstrated capability to take ownership and drive accountability
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Able to have difficult conversations with all levels of leadership
- Capable of utilizing data to make and support difficult decisions
- Proven ability to create process maps and perform optimization and gap analysis
- Experience creating high level story maps
- Familiarity with product management practices: prioritization, roadmaps, etc.
- Salesforce Service Cloud experience, a plus
- Consulting experience, a plus
