Business Strategy and Operations Lead
Location: Hybrid in New York CityÂ
Qualifications:
- Experience in top-tier management consulting, banking, or leading corporations.
- 3+ years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, or Product Management
- The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, tenacious, and not afraid of the detail – they must have a demonstrated ability in influencing, great collaborative mindset, and strong relationship management with senior leaders
- Executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in conveying key data and insights across all levels of the organization.
- Advanced problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management abilities.
- Active listening skills to gather feedback for continuous improvement in our presentations, business case formation, and new business pitches
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team environment
- Proven strong team player - able to work strategically and in a hands-on fashion
- Quick learner adept at mastering tools, systems, and processes.
- Structured thinking, organization, and project management expertise.
- Skilled in relationship management and capable of working closely with internal and external partners.
- Motivated self-starter capable of leading projects and executing with speed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint
- Strong analytical skills for solving complex business problems and presenting key findings concisely.
- Effective project management across multiple concurrent projects and teams.
- Solution-oriented analytical problem solver, capable of simplifying complex ideas.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- You will have the opportunity to work on diverse areas of the business. You will connect dots, elevate insights and trends, and generate ideas.Â
- You will be a key driver and operator of a number of strategic initiatives and will help shape and amplify the intent and the messaging partnerships business, both internally and externally with partners
- Solve complex business problems and build / iterate on a repeatable process for a wide range of go-to-market options and operational needs
- Collaborate closely with our Product, Risk & Compliance, Sales/Customer Success, Growth and Support & Payment Operations teams to prepare the company to scale its business with partners (e.g., manage projects, define KPIs etc)
- Perform work to inform key strategic discussions such as partner value proposition, pricing etc
- Define key metrics and build dashboards to report on our team metrics
- Draft business case and commercial deal structures, informed by key insights and solid recommendations
- Build external facing presentations to communicate Melio’s value proposition to a wide variety of verticals and different customer segments
- Shape and build the processes and operational support models for a rapidly growing company, and make a tangible impact on business development, productivity, and operations.
- Identify new partnership areas, drive and support our team to execute on these partnerships
- Maintain a keen eye on the competitive landscape and leverage those insight to inform our business strategy and new business pitch approach
