What you’ll do:

You’ll report to the Director of Strategy & Business Operations, and help drive strategy and execution across Public’s operations, monetization, and investing initiatives. You’ll be responsible for working with all functions at Public to manage existing revenue streams and drive new revenue-generating and cost-optimization initiatives. 

Specifically, you’ll:

• Perform both quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive strategic recommendations, including market trend and competitive landscape analyses, business and financial modeling, operations analyses, customer segmentation and targeting, cost optimization, and more.
• Translate strategy into specific business initiatives and develop tools to measure and evaluate them
• Contribute to identification of opportunities to improve efficiency of operating and SG&A expenses
• Partner with individuals across Product, Engineering, Brokerage, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Customer Support, and Business Development to implement improved processes and new strategies
• Wear a number of different hats to own the strategy, execution, and maintenance of high priority operational and cross-functional projects

What we’re looking for:

• 1-3 years of experience conducting analyses and working with engineering and operations functions drive business outcomes and support strategic decision making; experience at a Strategy Consulting firm strongly preferred
• Must possess advanced Excel skills; Proficiency with Tableau strongly desired
• Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally across the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic and proactive learner
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Deeply interested in markets & investing (especially personally!)

Bonus Points:

• Institutional trading, portfolio/asset management experience, specifically US equities and ETFs
• Equity capital markets experience
• Experience with markets and financial data (e.g., exchange data, fundamental data), and platform providers (e.g., Bloomberg)
• Fluency with (or interest in learning) SQL and/or Python programming languages
• Series 24, Series 7, and/or 63/66 (or other FINRA certifications)
