JOB SUMMARY:
Trane has a new & exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Business Support Analyst in our Southern Atlantic Region. This hybrid role is eligible for location within the Region's footprint with priorities given to Charlotte, NC, Columbia, SC, Greenville, SC, Roanoke, VA, or Richmond, VA.
As a Business Support Analyst, under limited supervision, you are responsible for working with our Commercial Sales Office Teams and Financial Services to reduce aged receivables, research to resolve disputed invoices and improve our customer experience from order to cash.
This position is required to closely interact with Area Managers, Project Managers, Account Managers, Collectors & other assigned project staff to ensure the timely resolution of past due accounts and assist in implementing process changes to avoid potential disputes with accurate and timely invoices that could cause future delays.
Responsibilities include the following and other duties as assigned:
- Research past due account balances including disputed invoices & recommend resolution action plan
- Capture reasons for disputes related to billing and work with associated business stream to ensure processes in place to avoid repeat disputes in the future
- Prepare monthly receivables reports & provide commentary on current account status
- Lead monthly AR calls & provide follow up action items to the team
- Update AR call spreadsheet with outstanding balance and notes weekly for review and additional follow up through resolution
- Generate open items aging & job level tracking reports
- Generate Status Reports and distribute to area offices weekly
- Coordinate with external customers, Account Managers and fulfillment team to resolve account and/or billing issues
- Furnish collector notes as requested
- Manage top customers in Region working with local teams reviewing account and communicating more frequently to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and payments.
- Makes recommendations on continuous progress improvements to improve cash flow and customer experience
- Provide training on business systems as needed include iReceivables, OBI Receivables, Tableau, etc.
- Provide Customer training on iReceivables to top customers as needed.
- Partner with Financial Services, Tax, Billing, Reporting, Legal and National Accounts teams to enhance communication and provide training to local CSO teams where needed.
- Participate in weekly/monthly area team meetings (sales, equipment, contracting, service, etc.) to build partnership and provide assistance where needed.
- Facilitate Region 9 Step Billing/AR A3
- Complete ad hoc assignments as requested
Qualifications:
- One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three (3) plus years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Participate in and contribute to lean improvements activities
- Must have strong communication skills, relationship building skills and a proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong ability in customer account problem solving with proven skills in Microsoft programs and data management.
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment.
- Strong ability to problem-solve & work independently
- Familiarity with the operation of HVAC Systems preferred not required.
- Flexibility to work overtime/ weekends, as required.
Base Pay Range: $52,000-108,000
This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our location. Flexible work from home options available.
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan.
