Job Description
The Business Systems Developer II is primarily responsible for providing technical development and support of systems software and procedures; analyzes, designs, programs, and implements complex tasks and projects involving a sizable group of users; performs work in all phases of database management; designs, implements, maintains, and administers the Finance Database (FDB), the source of information for MIS (Executive Information, Business Unit Reporting, Profitability Analysis, Planning and Forecasting, and Asset/Liability Management Systems) as well as corporate internal control and exception reporting source data; maintains and provides overall monitoring of FDB processes and procedures and the integration of relevant information across multiple application systems.

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will design, develop, and implement management reporting and decision support systems including Executive Information, Business Unit Reporting, profitability analysis, planning and forecasting, and Asset/Liability Management, allowing management at all levels to make informed decisions quickly.
- You will install, design, populate, maintain, and administer moderately complex corporate relational databases of financial and non-financial business information used in reporting and decision support.
- You will design new internal control applications and makes major enhancements to existing such systems, especially the integration of new data and controls, the automation and integration of information transferred between corporate data sources, and presentation using dynamic database access and web-based applications, allowing users to be more effective and productive in support of corporate internal control objectives.
- You will provide on-going technical problem solving and resolution of Executive Information, planning and forecasting, Asset/Liability Management, Decision Support, and other corporate internal control and management reporting systems.
- You will develop future system models, including technical evaluation of potential hardware and software purchases, and for the planning of new acquisitions, which includes database development, integration, administration, and network communications.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and operations; ability to analyze and interpret financial information and apply analytical techniques
- Advanced knowledge of data administration, relational database administration, and SQL processing
- Extensive knowledge of client/server development
- Advanced knowledge of Java development tools with integrated database connectivity, WWW browser technology and HTML
- Thorough knowledge of multi-dimensional databases and GUI tools
- Broad understanding of data processing and systems development concepts
- Broad understanding of distributed processing, multi-user production environments, multitasking operations environments, and LAN/WAN communications
- Good understanding of business relationships (customer, product, and organization) and their interrelationships
