Business Systems Analyst

Job Description
Job Summary:

Facilitate consistent, efficient, and effective communication between external customers and internal ETC project team in a remote work environment. Work with development team and quality assurance team supporting all phases of the software development and delivery.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position includes the following duties. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• Work to become a Subject Matter Expert on the tolling industry and on the ETC system functionality
• Analyze and track statement of work / contract items through the life of the project
• Participate in and document internal and customer kickoff meetings and requirement workshops
• Work directly with external customers and internal team members to negotiate and translate scope of work items into workflow diagrams, system requirements, operational requirements and use cases
• Facilitate process and technology discussions and action planning across functional groups
• Reconcile conflicting information, identify potential risks, and accomplish requirements approval through excellent interpersonal skills
• Update requirements documents with proper versioning throughout the project cycle
• Work to the project plan for all deliverables including daily time tracking to project codes
• Participate in project status meetings to ensure coordination and to raise issues/concerns/risks
• Continually adjust individual priorities as team and project priorities change
• Meet multiple deadlines and respond to multiple requests for support
• Support the development team in translating business requirements into technical design
• Triage system issues to aid the development team in understanding issues and prioritization
• Support quality assurance efforts to translate use cases into test cases
• Support customer training
• Participate in training and mentoring efforts of project team members in areas of identified expertise

Experience and Skills
Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have excellent analytical and communication skills including asking good questions, listening to the answers, and restating the content accurately, completely, and succinctly both orally and in writing
• Must be able to translate abstract or high-level information into useful/actionable written documentation
• Must be able to work collaboratively and take direction from multiple inputs
• Must be able to accept and manage changing priorities and address issues quickly and professionally
• Demonstrated experience coordinating or supporting complex and/or large software projects is preferred
• Experience working with external clients is highly valued
• Must be passionate about learning and a constant learner
• Must be confident, organized, and flexible
• Must have a working knowledge of waterfall, agile and/or hybrid software development methodologies
• Must have very strong skills with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Visio. Pluses include experience with SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• Proficiently with basic PL/SQL queries is a plus
• Presentation and training facilitation is a plus

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or equivalent degree.
